Sleek Makeup Eyeshadow Palettes

A welcome distraction from my revision:

Top left: Bohemian
Top right: Original
Bottom left: Storm
Bottom right: Sunset

Reviews will follow once I'm done with exams :)

But of course, I couldn't resist swiping and trying a few colours!

Quick notes:
  • I ordered at 3am Tuesday morning (burning the midnight oil) and they arrived 10am Wednesday morning. Seriously GOOD delivery service Sleek!

  • Lovely, pigmented shadows that are highly blendable. Amazing quality considering they cost £4.99 each.

  • All the palettes are gorgeous, but Storm is my favourite (because I am drawn towards dark moody colours... can't break out of my winter colour scheme!)

  • The red eyeshadows in the Sunset palette stained my eyelid for a bit.. Weird.

  • Get your greedy little hands on these babies at Sleek MakeUp's website.

PS. I've cut my hair off...

Disclaimer: I bought these products with my own moolah for purposes of review and general make up-related enjoyment.

T by Alexander Wang

Understated yet sexy and made out of the softest jersey I've ever touched.
ADORE - Worth every penny.

Matching wrist bling - Topshop
Neck bling - New Look
Shoes - Stuart Weitzman

PS. New Look doing 20% off for students instead of the normal 10% off for a limited period of time - Go go go and get your fix of maxi dresses (newly in and GORGEOUS in purple and black - I was browsing yesterday ahem), beaded and embellished summer sandals (I want!!), denim shorts and perfect slouchy tees that won't break the bank. Thank you to the lovely New Look reps for giving us a heads up :)

I had the most delicious summery lunch today :)

* Oven warmed ciabatta bread with mozzarella, tomatoes, fresh basil leaves, crushed black pepper and a drizzle of rapeseed oil, green olives, sweet & juicy mango chunks and a cup of Earl Grey tea (representing the UK) in my favourite mug! *

Recently acquired goodies:

  • It was bound to happen - Topshop SEANNA clogs in Chocolate... the new loves of my life! These babies look better than the Chanels and are unbelievably comfortable. I tried on a few pairs of normal flat clogs here and there (with the wooden soles) and they don't come anywhere near these on the comfort factor.
  • Rimmel Natural Bronzers in 022 Sun Bronze (used as bronzer) and 025 Sun Glow (used as blusher). Love these - cheap and effective.
  • MAC tinted moisturizer in Medium (this was a free sample) - I really like this as it feels light on the skin but gives good coverage.
  • MAC Mineralized Skinfinish Natural in Light-Medium - the MUA recommended Medium-deep for me (NC25-30) but it made me look tangoed! I use this as a finishing powder and its lovely.
  • MAC Viva Glam lipstick - the Cyndi Lauper one, which is an incredible sheer but buildable coral-watermelon-pink. Everyone is going wild for the Gaga version but I think its kind of an ugly and unflattering colour!
  • Powder brush (and free mini brush) from Elizabeth Arden - I'm so impressed with this brush as it is really high quality with super soft bristles - perfect for applying powder foundation or finishing powder. I'm tempted to get the Elizabeth Arden mineral makeup that goes with it (the one with the twisting grinder). Has anyone tried it?

And last, but definitely not least:

Future posts will show them in action, out and about in London town :)

They have air-pumped-up areas on the sole of the shoe which makes these a dream to walk in - like walking on a trampoline! But you can definitely feel them working your legs and I hope that mine will be more toned by the time summer rolls around :)

Tests have shown that they activate the muscles in your legs and bum much more than normal walking, so wear them whilst hoovering, running errands, on the school run - whenever you want!

If you have a pair of Easytones already or are thinking of getting a pair, join the conversation at the Reetalk Easytone forum where you can watch videos and chat to other members of the community about their Easytone experiences.

sexbomb noot in elle italia feb 2010

i know it's been done but so has every trend.

^ loving that little ray of sunshine.

i've been lounging around the house for days in this ensemble (the denim vest is much warmer than you think & the jeans are vintage tommy hilfiger and are basically the denim version of jersey trackpants). today, craving the feeling of sun on my skin. i decided to strap on a pair of wildly inappropriate heels for an impromptu bit of photo taking and a short walk to buy Glamour (a girl needs a little light-hearted generic fashion relief... and i'm already subscribed to Vogue anyway).

PS. my sister from another mister now blogging from the fangZINE. go leave her a nice comment. or a bitchy one. or a stoned one. or just go tell her what you really start craving when you're drunk. or what brand of toothpaste you use. i'm sure she doesn't mind. just go check it out already.

As you can see... I've been experimenting heavily with the format of my blog.

What do you think of my (crappy) MS Paint header jobbie & layout?

I loved my Gemma Ward one but was getting restless during revision (what's new) and thought that this one reflected my personality better.

18C promised for us Londoners tomorrow :)

Now it's time to start getting into shape! Oooh the dreaded thought of maneuvering into my bikini after so many long, cold, winter months which I have spent getting pasty, hiding indoors and eating lots of comfort food...

But thanks to the kind people at Reebok who have sent me a fabulous gym kit, I'm already making strides towards a new, more toned me!

And my co-trialist, as selected from comment & email entries:

Congrats Elena :) Look forward to hearing from you!
